Day 1 – Pigeon Forge, TN – Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Show
Arrive today in Pigeon Forge, TN where you enjoy a two-night stay at a local hotel. Tonight, enjoy Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Show. The show is filled with a friendly North and South competition, thrilling horse riding stunts, spectacular special effects, phenomenal musical productions plus a mouth-watering four-course feast complete with a delicious dessert! Also, Stampede’s SKEETER & NUGGET™ show delivers a huge helping of family-friendly comedy at every show! As Dolly says “It’s the most fun place to eat in the Smokies.” (D)
Day 2 – The Heart of the Smokies, the Life of Dolly Parton Tour – Skyland Ranch – BBQ Lunch and Special Private Concert with Banjo Player Gary “Biscuit” Davis – Afternoon at Dollywood
Today features a great tour – The Heart of the Smokies, the Life of Dolly Parton. After breakfast, meet your local guide and travel to Sevierville, TN the hometown of Dolly Parton. See the statue of Dolly Parton at the Sevier County Court House, and hear some of her childhood stories and experiences as well as her influential contributions to the Sevier County area. During this tour, you will learn about one of the Smokies greatest treasures Dolly Rebecca Parton. Born in nearby Locust Ridge on January 19, 1946, to Lee and Avie Lee Parton and grew up in the shadow of her beloved Smoky Mountains with her 11 brothers and sisters.
Dolly Parton was appearing regularly on WSEV radio in Sevierville before she was ten years old and was also a regular on a Knoxville television program, “The Cas Walker Show.” To date, she remains one of the most successful country artists, with 26 number-one singles (a record for a female performer) and 42 top-10 country albums (more than anyone else). She is one of the wealthiest female entertainers in the world. Parton invested much of her earnings into business ventures in her native East Tennessee. Since the mid-1980s Parton has been praised for her many charitable efforts, particularly in the area of literacy. She was honored as a “Living Legend” by the Library of Congress for her work.
Next, visit SkyLand Ranch when your journey to the top of SkyLand Ranch begins on the Horizon Skyride! Hop in the chairlift and enjoy a scenic ride to the top where you enjoy a BBQ Lunch and Special Private Concert and Q&A with 5-time National Champion Banjo Player Gary “Biscuit” Davis.
In addition to being the only 5-time National Banjo Champion, Biscuit has traveled the world performing with incredible artists, including one of the biggest names ever in music, Dolly Parton. Not only did Biscuit perform with Dolly, but he was also her band leader for many years and produced tracks for her on multiple albums. Biscuit is one of the most talented and entertaining individuals you will ever meet, as well as being an incredible storyteller. You will enjoy every second spent with Biscuit.
Returning to Pigeon Forge, enjoy the remainder of the day is spent at Dollywood. The remainder of the day will be spent at Dollywood Theme Park, known for its world-class entertainment, amazing thrill rides, and family friendly adventure. At Dollywood you’ll enjoy live stage shows, the Dolly museum, real train rides, the American Eagle habitat. You’ll also enjoy watching Dollywood’s master craftsmen and artisans at work proudly continuing the centuries-old traditions of hand-making their arts & crafts with daily demonstrations. Dollywood offers you the chance to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Smoky Mountains and the incredible spirit of its people.
New at Dollywood is The Dolly Parton Experience which is slated to open this spring with a number of interactive elements to make you feel as if you were alongside Dolly as she journeyed from Locust Ridge to stages around the world. Housed in multiple buildings, the multi-faceted Dolly Parton Experience includes exhibits which span her iconic career, the inspiration and results of her biggest dreams, the importance of her family, and even a curated exhibit that highlights Dolly’s signature style through the years. The Dolly Parton Experience provides guests more Dolly than ever, as it is three times the size of the former Chasing Rainbows Museum. The entire Adventures in Imagination area transforms to create the Dolly Parton Experience.
2025 is the 40th Anniversary of Dollywood. A special 40th Anniversary show will debut Memorial Day weekend through the end of the summer, highlighting moments from guest-favorite shows. The park will also host a series of opening ceremonies, a rotation of playhouse favorites guests, a drone and fireworks show as part of Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Summer Celebration, story time and character meet & greets, a remastering of “Heartsong: The Movie” and more.
Dinner is on your own this evening at Dollywood. There are plenty of great dining options at Dollywood or groups can add the Pirates Voyage Dinner Show if they wish. (B, L)
