Itinerary

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 – Thursdays – Nashville – Ryman Auditorium 

On arrival in Nashville you check into your comfortable first-class hotel.  Then you are in a for a big night beginning with a late afternoon tour of The Ryman Auditorium.  Built in 1892 and known throughout the world as “The Mother Church of Country Music” it is one of Nashville’s music icons.  You will enjoy the “Soul of Nashville” a pre-tour video experience as well as multi-media exhibits that will immerse you in the rich history of this building.

Next is a light dinner at Cafe Lula, the restaurant at the Ryman.  Their menu has a fresh healthy fare with an emphasis on rotisserie cooking.

Following dinner you have reserved seats for a Ryman Auditorium Show.  See the schedule below for Opry Country Classics which features the world’s best known country songs performed both by the legends and rising stars of the industry.  Also shown are the dates for Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman a summer time tradition.  It’s a concert series  presenting some of the biggest names in Bluegrass.

Groups that still have time on the meter or energy for late night, may want to add free time after the show to visit the Honky Tonks of Downtown Nashville.  This could include the Wildhorse Saloon, B.B. Kings, The Silver Dollar, Doc Holidays, Tootsies, Coyote Ugly  and a number of others.

Day 2 – City Tour – Hall of Fame – Grand Ole Opry 

This morning you have a choice of local sightseeing tours.

    – The Troubadour Tour is an “Only in Nashville” kind of experience.  Bringing new meaning to the phrase “Entertaining Narrative” it’s sightseeing with a singer/songwriter guide.  The tour will include Downtown Nashville’s colorful history with drive-bys of the historic Ryman Auditorium, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, Honky Tonk Row, Ernest Tubb’s Record Shop and The Bluebird Cafe.  Plus, you will hear what it’s like trying to break into Nashville’s music scene, both the struggles and the victories. As an added bonus your Troubadour will perform some of his or her original songs!

    – The Homes of the Stars Tour will drive past homes of some of the biggest names in Nashville like Taylor Swift, Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood, Dolly Parton, Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum, Martina McBride, Reese Witherspoon, Little Big Town, and more. This is a great tour for country music fans and Nashville celebrity fans alike!

   – Nashville Redneck Comedy Tour is a laugh-filled experience.  You will see the most famous and historic sites. See all of the popular landmarks in Music City, maybe a country star, and some cowboy wannabes!  Ever wonder if you qualify to be a hillbilly or a redneck?  Find out aboard this fun-filled two-hour wild ride!

 – Old Town Trolley Tour is more than just a sightseeing tour, it is a fun and educational adventure as your trolley conductor provides an entertaining narration that includes little known facts and behind-the-scenes tips. To view popular attractions like the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the Parthenon and Bicentennial Capitol Mall, hop aboard the Old Town Trolley!

Your afternoon includes a visit to the largest popular music museum in the world, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.  Home to more than 2.5 million artifacts, the museum narrates the store of Country Music from it’s humble Folk beginnings through today’s international success. This special itinerary includes a private backstage look at the defiant “Outlaw” years of Country Music with stories and songs from Carter and Barny Robertson, who played, sang and recorded alongside Waylon Jennings. From the tour bus to the studio and the stage, this program transports group to the 1970’s , to the Outlaw scene in Tennessee, Texas, and in-between.

Get your Honky Tonk on for dinner today as you visit Nashville’s newest restaurant and music venue.  In the heart of Downtown Nashville Ole Red is inspired by Opry member Blake Shelton’s clever, irreverent third-chart hit, “Ol’ Red.”

Following dinner you will be mesmerized by the show that made Country Music famous, the Grand Ole Opry. Each Opry show features an array of performances by new stars, superstars and legends.  Woven into a program than can also include great bluegrass and comedy.  Opry shows are never rehearsed and its never the same show twice, but they are always am unforgettable  evening of uniquely American entertainment.

Day 3 – Departure

Depart for home.
