Itinerary

Day 1 – Pigeon Forge, TN – Dolly’s Stampede Holiday Show 

This afternoon, you arrive in Pigeon Forge, TN for a three-night stay at a local hotel.

Dinner this evening is a four-course feast at Dolly Parton’s Stampede Christmas Dinner Attraction. The holiday festivities get playful as Elves from the North Pole and South Pole will compete in a friendly rivalry while serving up a festive your dinner. Snow falls softly as the breathtaking scenes fill you with tidings of good cheer. The Stampede arena is magically transformed into a true fantasy land complete with twinkling lights, evergreens, poinsettias, old-fashioned holiday costumes and familiar holiday music.  You will also love the live nativity; it is both dramatic and spectacular. The true meaning of Christmas comes alive right before your very eyes as three kings ride atop camels on their way to Bethlehem. The stunning beauty of angels ascending from above will amaze you as the songs inspire audience members of all ages. (D)

Day 2 – Smoky Mountain Tour – Gatlinburg Shopping – Sugarlands Distillery Tour & Tasting – Country Tonite

Today, you’ll enjoy a Step-On Guided tour of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  America’s most visited national park. Followed by an afternoon strolling the sidewalks and shops of Historic Downtown Gatlinburg.  Explore & unwind with some free time while indulging your taste buds by enjoying lunch on your own this afternoon at any one of the many delightful local restaurants.

After free time for shopping and lunch on your own in Gatlinburg, visit the Sugarlands Distillery for a behind-the-scenes tour of the stillhouse. Your group will learn the ins and outs of the distilling process from an expert guide. You will hear the story of how Moonshining became part of the East Tennessee story, and catch a glimpse of how Sugarlands upholds the time honored traditions. After your tour, enjoy a sippin’ post sampling experience.

Tonight, enjoy dinner at the delicious Applewood Farmhouse.  At Applewood all meals are served with their signature Applewood Julep, Apple Fritters and Homemade Apple Butter.

After dinner, enjoy a performance of the Country Tonite Christmas Show.  This show features Christmas favorites combined with beautiful choreography, brightly decorated holiday sets and colorful costumes bring the enchantment of Christmas to the Country Tonite stage.  The popular cast covers a number of holiday classics for a nostalgic, spirited holiday celebration that will be enjoyed by all. Day 3 – Titanic Museum – The Island – Dollywood Christmas

This morning, visit the Titanic Museum. You will be swept up in the excitement, wonder and consequences of the Titanic story.  See over 400 artifacts and treasures on two decks, walk the Grand Staircase, hear actual survival stories, touch an iceberg and much more. The Titanic is magical during the winter holidays. The sights, sounds and joy of the season are sure to hail the arrival of Christmas this year. Come exchange greetings with the Titanic crew or enjoy the glittering lights and the festive decorations.

Then enjoy free time, shopping and lunch on your own at The Island.  The Island boasts 23 acres of entertainment in an inviting setting perfect for groups.  With over 80 shops, restaurants and attractions, the Island’s diverse selection of activities makes it a one-stop-shop of fun for all ages.  The Island Show Fountains are programmed to music and lights year-round and you can purchase a ticket to ride “The Wheel” which is 200 feet tall.  There truly is something for everyone to enjoy at The Island.

Then spend the balance of the afternoon at the Dollywood Theme Park.  While in the park enjoy, “Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival”, which is the eight-time award winner of America’s Best Christmas Event.  You’ll find this park features four million holiday lights more than 20 rides and attractions with elaborate Christmas decorations, twinkling lights and holiday-themed menus.

Once in the park there are many spectacular holiday performances you won’t want to miss.  One is, “Christmas in the Smokies”, a 12-member cast performing hometown holiday favorites that celebrate the joy of the season.  Also, be sure to experience the, “Parade of Many Colors”.  Dollywood Theme Park is known for its world-class entertainment, amazing thrill rides, and family friendly adventure all are sure to treasure. When the sun goes down, watch the winter sky shimmer to life as hundreds of festive drones light up the night during a Christmas drone show!  (B,D)

Day 4 – Nashville, TN – Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage & Wine Tasting – Gaylord Opryland – ICE! & Delta River Flatboat Ride

On arrival in Nashville today, enjoy a tour of Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage.  Step inside the world of Rachel & Andrew Jackson, the 7th President to the United States.  Fiery and daring, Andrew Jackson was Tennessee’s first homegrown president, born to Irish immigrants. He was nicknamed “Old Hickory” for his rough and tough behavior.

The Hermitage was the home of “the people’s president,” Andrew Jackson – orphan, general, president, and legend. The Hermitage features the former president’s mansion, picturesque garden and grounds, and his tomb. The property now referred to as The Hermitage, originally just a 425-acre farm, was purchased by Jackson in 1804. The Hermitage will be filled with a special holiday spirit! Throughout the season, costumed staff will share additional stories of holiday traditions and celebrations while showcasing the added Christmas greenery and gifts spread throughout the Mansion.

Included with your visit to Hermitage is a wine tasting.  The Natchez Hills Winery at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage offers you the experience of enjoying and learning more about the 7th President’s historical ties to wine while tasting wines made in middle Tennessee!  Knowledgeable staff will guide you through a tasting of different varietals, educating new wine drinkers and sharing stories with the seasoned connoisseur.

Then check into the Gaylord Opryland Hotel for a two-night stay and the hotel’s Country Christmas celebration. Your group will marvel at more than 3 million holiday lights and acres of magnificent decorations, plus spectacular holiday activities and events that are sure to get you in the spirit of the season and create lasting family memories. Dinner is on your own this evening.

You will also have tickets to visit ICE! and to take the Delta River Flatboat ride during your stay at the hotel. You may do this at your leisure before departing. (B)

Day 5 – Nashville Troubadour Tour- General Jackson Lunch Cruise – Country Christmas Dinner Show

This morning, meet your local guide for Troubadour Music Sightseeing, an “Only in Nashville” kind of experience. Bringing new meaning to the phrase “Entertaining Narrative” it’s sightseeing with a singer/songwriter guide. The tour will include Downtown Nashville’s colorful history with drive-bys of   the historic Ryman Auditorium, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, Honky Tonk Row, Ernest Tubb’s Record Shop and The Bluebird Cafe. Plus, you will hear what it’s like trying to break into Nashville’s music scene, both the struggles and the victories. As an added bonus your Troubadour will perform some of his or her original songs!

The afternoon features a lunch cruise and show on the General Jackson Showboat.  The balance of your day is free time to explore the garden conservatories, holiday displays and shops inside the Gaylord Hotel. 

Tonight, you enjoy the Gaylord Hotel’s Country Christmas Dinner Show. Entertainment to be announced. (B,L,D)

Day 6 – Depart for Home
