Itinerary
Day 1 – Nashville, TN – Studio B – Country Music Hall of Fame – Musicians Hall of Fame – Dinner at Ole Red’s
Arrive in Nashville, TN, where you start with a tour of Studio B. Get ready to be a Star! Your day begins with a group recording session at Historic RCA Studio B. Here legends like Elvis and Dolly have recorded timeless classics.
Then you visit the Country Music Hall of Fame, the keeper of priceless Country Music Treasures. Your self-guided tour is a walk-through history, one that leads you from the earliest folk traditions to the music that thrills millions of fans today. Every tour ends in the Hall of Fame Rotunda, the never-ending Circle, and storied home of the inductees.
Also included today is a visit to the Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum. Play guitars, drums & keyboards. Record a Garth Brooks song, sing with Ray Charles or jam with Jimmy Jam. The Musicians Hall of Fame is the only museum that actually honors the greatest musicians of all time. Some like Jimi Hendrix are well known and others, like legendary studio musician, Hal Blaine, you’ll get to know. It’s great fun for the whole family and will lift the curtain on the music industry in a way you haven’t seen before.
Check into your Nashville hotel for the night. Dinner is included tonight at Ole Red’s. In the heart of Downtown, Ole Red’s is inspired by Opry member Blake Shelton’s clever, irreverent song about the Warden’s dog, Ole Red. (D)
Day 2 – National Museum of African American Music – Pigeon Forge, TN – Skyland Ranch – Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud
This morning, visit the National Museum of African American Music. NMAAM is the only museum dedicated to preserving and celebrating the many music genres created, influenced, and inspired by African Americans. The museum’s expertly-curated collections share the story of the American soundtrack by integrating history and interactive technology to bring the musical heroes of the past into the present.
Following your visit, travel to Pigeon Forge, TN. On arrival, visit SkyLand Ranch, Pigeon Forge’s newest attraction. Set on a 100-acre farm in the Great Smoky Mountains, SkyLand Ranch combines all your favorite things about the Smoky Mountains into one exciting attraction. Take a ride on a scenic chairlift to the top of Skyland Ranch, where hours of fun await. Experience a mountain coaster that’s over a mile long, a suspended bridge with a canopy walk. SkyLand Ranch is also home to a variety of miniature animals, food barns, and retail shops.
Then check into your Pigeon Forge hotel for a two-night stay. Tonight, enjoy the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud. Become part of the longest running feud in history and help the Hatfields and McCoys try to settle their differences mountain-style. Whether you’re city-folk or country cuzins, you’ll love the singing and dancing, mighty feats of strength, jaw dropping stunts and side-splitting comedy. Their all you can eat dinner includes Feudin’ Fried Chick’n, Open Pit Pulled-to-Pieces Pork Barbeque and Granny’s Famous Dessert. (B,D)
Day 3 – Titanic Museum – Beyond the Lens – Dollywood – Stampede Dinner Show
This morning, tour the Titanic Museum, a one-of-a-kind attraction that lets guests experience what it was like to be a real passenger on the ship, to walk Titanic’s passageways, parlors, cabins and Grand Staircase while surrounded by more than 300, rare artifacts. Along the way, guests can steer the ship, touch a real iceberg, reach their hands into 28-degree water, try to stand on a gradually, sloping deck and sit in a lifeboat and listen to the voices of actual passengers recall their narrow escapes. Guests do all of this in the name of one of the passengers or crew members that were on the Titanic. The fate will be revealed in the Titanic Memorial Room where the names of survivors and victims are posted.
Next, visit Beyond the Lens and explore the best of pop culture with interactive games, amazing photo ops and intriguing exhibits for the entire family.
