Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Pigeon Forge, TN – Three Nights Lodging – Lumberjack Feud Show
Arrive today in Pigeon Forge, TN for three nights of deluxe lodging. Dinner is included this evening at the Applewood Restaurant. At Applewood, all meals are served with their signature Applewood Julep, Apple Fritters and Homemade Apple Butter.
Following dinner, enjoy a performance at #1 Paula Dean’s Lumberjack Feud. This high-energy experience features Axe Throwing, Chopping, Sawing, Speed Climbing, Log Rolling and other competitive events. View all from a covered grandstand with padded seating. (D)
Day 2 – Titanic Museum – Free Time at the Island – Ole Smoky Tour & Tasting – Hatfields & McCoys Dinner Feud – Comedy Barn Show
This morning, visit the Titanic Museum. It is a gateway to 1912, where First-Class Maids and a variety of Officers and crew members bring the stories of the fabled ship and its fascinating passengers to life by retelling their stories in vivid, dramatic detail. The priceless artifacts throughout the museum shed additional light on the lives of those passengers and crew members when guests see the actual belongings of those on board and artifacts that sailed on Titanic’s maiden voyage.
Next is free time at The Island for lunch on own and shopping. The Island boasts 23 acres of entertainment with over 80 shops, restaurants and attractions. The Island Show Fountains are programmed to music and lights year-round and you can purchase a ticket to ride “The Wheel” which is 200 feet tall. There truly is something for everyone to enjoy at The Island.
The afternoon features a tour & tasting at #2 Ole Smoky Moonshine Museum & Distillery. As you approach the entrance, you can detect the distinct smell of their grains cooking and fermenting. You’ll see authentic working moonshine stills and experience the process from beginning to end. Their distillers will take the time to visit with you and answer any questions about the history and lore of moonshining in East Tennessee. Then you get to enjoy a sample.
Tonight, enjoy the #3 Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud. Become part of the longest running feud in history and help the Hatfields and McCoys try to settle their differences mountain-style. Whether you’re city-folk or country cuzins, you’ll love the singing and dancing, mighty feats of strength, jaw dropping stunts and side-splitting comedy. Their all you can eat dinner includes Feudin’ Fried Chick’n, Open Pit Pulled-to-Pieces Pork Barbeque and Granny’s Famous Dessert.
End the day at the Comedy Barn. America’s funniest Family Variety Show, features clean comedians, magicians, jugglers, and unique characters. Good clean fun for all ages. (B,D)
Day 3 – Day at Dollywood – Country Tonite Show
After breakfast, the day will be spent at #4 Dollywood Theme Park, known for its world-class entertainment, amazing thrill rides, and family friendly adventure. At Dollywood you’ll enjoy live stage shows, the Dolly museum, real train rides, the American Eagle habitat. You’ll also enjoy watching Dollywood’s master craftsmen and artisans at work proudly continuing the centuries-old traditions of hand-making their arts & crafts with daily demonstrations. Dollywood offers you the chance to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Smoky Mountains and the incredible spirit of its people.
Tonight, enjoy a delicious dinner at Five Oaks Farm Kitchen. When supper time rolls around Five Oaks Farm Kitchen has just what you are looking for with fresh greens, hearty soups, fried chicken, prime rib and more!
Following dinner enjoy a fantastic show at #5 Country Tonite. This fast-paced production features a variety of dynamic singing and dancing, side-splitting comedy, powerful gospel, and American patriotism. From the strong talent of the youth performers, to the experienced veterans of the Country Tonite stage and song, the love of God, family and country resonates throughout the show. (B,D)
Day 4 – Sweetwater Valley Farm – Mayfield Dairy Farm – Chattanooga, TN – Rock City – Incline Railway
Departing Pigeon Forge this morning after breakfast, stop in nearby Philadelphia, TN at Sweetwater Valley Farm, a family dairy farm producing farmstead cheese. Experience the “Red Cow Tour” and see the latest technology in the dairy industry and how the cows are milked by robots. Take a guided tour of the robotic facility and while on the tour also learn more about the entire dairy operation and cheese making process.
Next, stop in Athens, TN at the Mayfield Dairy Farms for a tour and stop at the Visitor Center. It’s the sweetest place on earth. See for yourself how your favorite Mayfield products are made with a fun and educational behind-the-scenes tour! Before you leave enjoy a scoop of one of Mayfield’s signature ice cream flavors.
After a stop for lunch on own, arrive in Chattanooga, TN this afternoon. Visit #6 Rock City Gardens, a true marvel of nature. It features massive rock formations, gardens with over 400 native plant species and on a clear day a breathtaking “See 7 States” panoramic view.
Next, take a ride on the Incline Railway known as “America’s Most Amazing Mile.” The Incline’s trolley-style cars descends through the natural beauty surrounding historic Lookout Mountain at a breathtaking 72.7% grade – straight down! Sit back, relax and enjoy the scenic views of the mountains and valleys from the observation windows on the train as well as the panoramic views from the observation tower at The Incline’s top station.
Check into your deluxe hotel for an overnight stay. Tonight, enjoy a dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 5 – Nashville, TN – Studio B – Country Music Hall of Fame – Hatch Show Print – Dinner at Old Red’s – Ryman Auditorium Show
Travel this morning to Nashville, TN, where you start with a tour of #8 Studio B. Get ready to be a Star! Your day begins with a group recording session at Historic RCA Studio B. Here legends like Elvis and Dolly have recorded timeless classics.
Then you visit the #9 Country Music Hall of Fame, the keeper of priceless Country Music Treasures. Your self-guided tour is a walk-through history, one that leads you from the earliest folk traditions to the music that thrills millions of fans today. Every tour ends in the Hall of Fame Rotunda, the never-ending Circle, and storied home of the inductees.
Also included this afternoon is a tour of the Hatch Show Print. Learn all about the history of this iconic letterpress poster shop. Listen to the presses run. See the century-and-a-half’s worth of brilliantly colored posters printed for your favorite entertainers. Smell the ink. Handle the tools of the trade to print your own keepsake poster in the print shop-within-a-print shop Universal Music Group Space for Design.
Check into your deluxe Nashville hotel for the night. Dinner is included tonight at Ole Red’s. In the heart of Downtown, Ole Red’s is inspired by Opry member Blake Shelton’s clever, irreverent song about the Warden’s dog, Ole Red.
Following dinner, you have reserved seats for a #10 Ryman Auditorium Show. Shows feature the world’s best-known country songs performed both by the legends and rising stars of the industry. There is also a Bluegrass Concert Series during the summer. (B,D)
Day 6 – Madame Tussauds Wax Museum – Depart for Home
After breakfast, stop at Opry Mills for a lyrical adventure at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. See and hear the music from the 1950’s when families gathered around their radio listening to the Grand Ole Opry. Hear the creativity flow as the lyrics carry you to a time and place where Rock & Roll was all that mattered, Jerry Garcia & Janis Joplin are here celebrating the summer of 69. You can dance, sing, and take a selfie with yesterday’s music legends and today’s Top 40’s icons.
