Itinerary
Day 1 – Nashville, TN – Gaylord Opryland Hotel
Welcome to Nashville! Your group will check into the Gaylord Opryland Resort for a two-night stay in traditional rooms. Breakfast is included for your travelers each morning. Dinner is on your own this evening, enjoy exploring the Gaylord’s Conservatories and Restaurants.
Day 2 – Nashville Troubadour Tour – Ryman Auditorium Guided Tour – Free Afternoon – Dinner at Back Stage Grill – Grand Ole Opry
This morning, meet your local guide for a Troubadour City Tour. Singer/Song Writer Guided City Tour is an “Only in Nashville” kind of experience. Bringing new meaning to the phrase “Entertaining Narrative” it’s sightseeing with a singer/songwriter guide. The tour will include Downtown Nashville’s colorful history with drive-bys of the historic Ryman Auditorium, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, Honky Tonk Row. You will hear what it’s like trying to break into Nashville’s music scene, both the struggles and the victories.
Next your group will take a Guided Tour of the Ryman Auditorium and learn the history of this famous building. Known as the “Mother Church of Country Music,” the Ryman Auditorium has been one of the country’s premiere concert venues for more than 100 years. Established in 1892 as the Union Gospel Tabernacle, The Ryman Auditorium is now a National Historic Landmark and a must see for any Nashville visitor. Most famous as the home of the Grand Ole Opry from 1943 — 1974, there is far more to the story of Music City’s most recognizable icon.
Following this tour, your group has a free afternoon downtown – or we schedule another local attraction.
October Groups have dinner at the Backstage Grill with food provided by the Grand Ole Opry who manages the Opry Backstage Grill on Music Valley Drive. They serve signature Southern Cooking paired perfectly with Live Country Music. Here your love of food and your love of music will meet in this casually cool restaurant. And at the Opry Backstage Grill, your waitress might even jump on the stage and sing a country favorite or two.
End the day with the Grand Ole Opry 100th Birthday Show. For 100 Years, country’s best performers have mesmerized audiences at the Grand Ole Opry Live Radio Show, the show that made country music famous. Each Opry show features an array of performances by new stars, superstars and legends of country music as well as great bluegrass, comedy and more. Opry shows are never rehearsed and never the same show twice. (B,D)
