Itinerary
Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Pigeon Forge – Performance Evaluations – Smoky Mountain Opry
Arriving in Pigeon Forge, TN, start with a preliminary performance evaluation. Your group will perform a prepared piece after which the group receives notes about the performance. You will also receive a new piece that the group will learn in the following days.
After evaluations, check into the Country Cascades Resort (or similar) for a three night stay. There will be some free time this afternoon to explore Pigeon Forge and enjoy dinner on your own.
Tonight, enjoy a spectacular show at the Smoky Mountain Opry. The Smoky Mountain Opry takes you on an incredible journey through the decades’ of music’s greatest all-time hits, with a huge variety of musical genres and styles. From country hits to classic rock, and Broadway to the Silver Screen, you’ll be movin’ and groovin’ in your seats.
Day 2 – Intensives Lesson Day with Tim Davis – Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies – Dinner Show
After breakfast in Grandma’s Kitchen at the hotel, today features Intensives Lesson with Tim Davis. From six seasons on the Fox hit series “Glee,” to Lady Gaga’s 2017 Super Bowl Halftime show, Tim’s work spans the industry in every direction. Tim specializes in putting together vocal groups and choirs and has done so for many projects including Disney Parks, ABC’s Agent Carter, Josh Groban, Seth MacFarlane and more.
Tim Davis is known for his ability to bring out the best in singers of any genre. He has been utilized as a vocal coach for Broadway musicals, artist recordings and singers in television and film. With a desire to mentor and train the next generation of studio singers, Tim founded the Studio Singers Intensive in 2014.
Today, choirs will work on another prepared piece that will be in the final competition showcase. Your group will have a scheduled time with Tim Davis and the Tim Davis instructors, to perfect the new material.
After your lesson today, head to Gatlinburg for some free time and lunch on own.
The afternoon includes a visit to Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies with over 10,000 exotic sea creatures in 350 individual species. There are more fish in this aquarium than there are people living in the entire town of Gatlinburg. Traveling on moving glide paths, visitors enter the ocean realm and come face to face with thousands of fascinating fishes and menacing sea creatures, everything from barracudas, to rays, to jellyfish, octopi, moray eels and giant sharks!
Tonight, you have your choice of dinner show: Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud, Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Show or Pirates Voyage Dinner Show. (B,D)
Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud – You have seats right in the middle of the Hatfield’s and McCoy’s Dinner Show – an evening of Feudin’ Feastin’ and Family Fun as these two families settle their differences mountain-style. Whether you’re city-folk or country cuzins, you’ll love the singing and dancing, mighty feats of strength, jaw dropping stunts and side-splitting comedy.
Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Show – A fun-filled, action-packed extravaganza that everyone should experience, perfect for families, friends and groups of any size! Enjoy the comedy and musical talent of Bluegrass and Country band, Mountain Ruckus. Only Dolly Parton’s Stampede brings you this diverse mix of musical talent of our Bluegrass and Country in such a family-friendly atmosphere. You won’t want to miss it!
Pirates Voyage Dinner Show – At the Pirates Voyage Dinner Show, you join Captain Blackbeard, the most famous pirate to ever sail the seven seas, and his quartermaster Calico Jack as they lead the Crimson and Sapphire crews in an epic battle for lost treasure on land, on deck, in water and high above full-sized pirate ships in a 15 foot deep indoor hideaway lagoon! Ye will thrill at the swashbuckling excitement of spectacular acrobatic competitions, aerial feats, sea lions, tropical birds, beautiful mermaids and much more! Which camp takes the treasure may be up to you as ye cheer me buccaneers to victory, all while ye enjoy a fabulous four-course feast!
Day 3 – Rehearsals Day – Free Time at the Island – Titanic Museum – Dollywood Theme Park
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Today is Rehearsals Day. This will be the learning day. Your group will rehearse your performance and receive notes from Tim Davis and the Tim Davis Instructors. Groups will be divided into Show Choir, Concert Choir and Jazz Choir.
After rehearsals, you have free time this afternoon to visit The Island. Enjoy lunch on own at one of the several cafes and restaurants located here. Plus there are gift shops & shopping of all kinds. Take time to enjoy the Dancing Water Fountain Display in sync to music every hour on the hour. To get a bird’s eye view of the area, you can purchase a ticket to ride “The Wheel”, which rises 200 feet above the city. There’s delicious biscuit mix for sale at the Paula Dean Store, fudge to taste at The Fudgery, browse Emery 5 & 10 and meet a parrot at Parrot Mountain store and so much more.
The afternoon features a visit to the Titanic Museum. This giant museum attraction exhibits one of the largest permanent collections of Titanic artifacts and memorabilia. Inside, guests enter a unique world where they can climb an exact replica of the most famous staircase—Titanic’s hand-crafted Grand Staircase.
Spend the remainder of the day at Dollywood Theme Park, known for its world-class entertainment, amazing thrill rides, and family friendly adventure. At Dollywood you’ll enjoy live stage shows, the Dolly museum, real train rides, the American Eagle habitat, and for the very brave ride the Wild Eagle Coaster (along with many other rides the park has to offer). You’ll also enjoy watching Dollywood’s many master craftsmen and artisans at work proudly continuing the centuries-old traditions of hand-making their arts & crafts with daily demonstrations.

Day 4 – Final Performance & Awards – Depart for Home
After breakfast at the hotel, today will be your final performance of the trip. Awards will also be handed out this morning. After the awards, depart for home. (B)
